Spa parties are great fun for little girls, adults, or even for a bachelorette!  Regardless of the reason, here are some ideas on throwing a spa party.

Below are 3 tips on how to throw a spa party:

Pamper Stations
First, figure out which stations you are going to incorporate and where. Each station should be set up in its own area. The idea is that everyone moves from one station to the next, so everyone gets each treatment. Each rotation should occur at about the same time — probably every 15 to 20 minutes (if someone finishes sooner, they can just sit back and read a magazine, get refreshments, or take pictures). Make signs for each station, and give each a number (so people can rotate in order). A few minutes before your guests are expected to arrive, set the mood by closing all the curtains, lighting the candles, and playing soft music. (No, it’s not supposed to be romantic; it’s supposed to be relaxing!)
You can vary the number of stations, or add your own. (Another great station idea: Surprise your guests and hire a tarot card or palm reader, or a fortune-teller.)

  • Station #4 and #5 – Massage (Back, Shoulder and Arm)
  • Station #6 – Meditation and/or Aromatherapy

Food
A light and simple spa menu of healthy appetizers and cocktails is just the fuel your guests need to enjoy an afternoon of pampering. Here are some of the recipes Lilly used at her spa party, created by Food for Thought Catering:

  • Cantaloupe Lollipops with Crispy Prosciutto
  • Chilled Pea Soup Shooter with Fresh Mint
  • Spa-tini Cocktail

Decorations
As for decor, we wanted the moms to feel like they were walking into a spa. We played nature/spa type music on Pandora. I have a bamboo candle from Bath & Body Works that smelled perfect for the occasion. We used lots of river rocks, bamboo and raffia (I especially love the bamboo forks I found at Party City!), as well as orchids and bamboo plants. All of the printables (invitation, food cards, instruction sheets, station signs, water bottle labels, favor tags, etc.) were designed by Monika at Hello Brielle. The awesome “Relax” sign was custom made to match our printables by my friend, Sarah, over at Cardboard Sheek. I made the river rock backdrop. Our sweet and wonderful photographer was Emily Magers. We found her at the very last minute and are so thankful for all the beautiful work she did. Source: Blog.HWTM
